Oi mate just letting you know that you left it in illustration when it's pixel art. But regardless, from one high rez pixel artist to another, this is really quite a nice piece. The colours are strong and the shading is solid.

You' done really well adding the elements from the new design into the old design, while still keeping the old designs intense eye and the iconic scar. My only gripe with this one is the lack of sharpened teeth and the purple tentacles (those were a fairly iconic part of the original's design. Looked like bruised bloated jellyfish tendrils that could pierce right through you)

EDIT: Damn bro that's rough, maybe just simplify some topology? Might help you be able to paint it if you want to. But regardless I get that. Even my PC chugs hard when I go a bit overboard in detail

im going to be honest to you most of it isnt even textured itself, but painted on in photoshop lol. My pc was already dying processing all the polys so i couldn't do vertex paint or something
